This Happened

A few random pictures taken during my recent vacation from blogging. In no particular order--

Lee was home for spring break. The guys were gone much of that time to Taylor's basketball tournament, but Lee and Mark had some great father/daughter time.

Chemistry happened in the kitchen.

Farming has begun. Mark took a few loads of soybeans to get them cleaned and bagged to use for seed. When the person loaded all the bags on the pallets he stacked them wrong--they would topple over easily. So Mark and Taylor had to restack all these.

Thought I'd take a picture of the shed that didn't get torn down.

I cleaned, repainted, and reorganized my tiny, tiny sewing room. This is one entire wall and part of another. lol. It is a tiny, tiny room. The triangle in the top right corner is part of the slanted ceiling. This is a very, very tiny room.

Here's my guy at his basketball tournament.

The kids love to take these goofy pictures. I think there were a few nice ones in the bunch, but they're all on Lee's camera.

Check out this humongous egg! Size super extra jumbo. The one on the left in the back is just your normal large size. Mark's dad must give his chickens megavitamins.

I guess I don't know for certain, but I think this would be a bit uncomfortable for a hen to lay.

We enjoyed just lounging around when everyone was home together.

Mark had a pallet of old soybeans that he isn't going to plant.

So he and Taylor dumped them all back out.

If you can read this sign...

Taylor spotted this sign on a McDonald's door. Are the folks who need a braille or picture menu really supposed to read this?

(Always check out your background, Tay.)

Final Florida Pics

We all spent lots of time at the pool. Here are Sanji and Jack poolside.

Luke tried surfing.

Kenny caught this very weird fish. Both eyes on one side, it lies camouflaged on the bottom. I can't remember what it's called and don't want to look it up. It was pretty nifty though.

My honey

The next door neighbor

Taylor didn't catch any fish, but he did spot this cute fish family on a van at Target.

Celebrating Kate's 6th birthday

Family time in the evenings

Mark and I spent some lovely evenings on the beach.

Several of the family spent the last afternoon hunting for shells and treasure way up the beach. Here are Rusty, Grant, and my brother Kyle.

Grant's find

Kyle found the treasure of the day.

Taylor started to pick up this shell, when it stuck it's "tongue" out at him. lol.

Sanji's dh Rusty. He's such a romantic.

Taylor's Photos from Busch Gardens

The tiger and butterfly are made completely of plants. A very neat sight in the middle of winter.

~~~~~
I got a few good animal pics of my own.
I didn't take pictures of this bird attacking the cute little girl and stealing her french fries. She wasn't too happy with the bandit, and I thought the dad might not be too happy with me for photographing the ruckus.
Blah
This is no fun place to be the past few days. Intestinal distress. Apparently I'm immune this time.
The puking seems to be finished, now just lying around with aching stomachs. Taylor didn't even feel like eating chocolate chip cookies today. I didn't realize the sickness was quite that serious.
Luke and I settled on the couch for some reading from our old Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories. We always bring out those books when somebody needs some Mommy snuggling time but doesn't want to admit it. :)
The Days of Christmas
Lee flew into Collegetown at 10:00pm Monday, returning from a basketball tournament. She'd planned to drive at least halfway home that night but there was freezing rain in the forecast for the next morning. She drove all night, pulling in the driveway at 5:45am Tuesday.
She had to be back at school today at noon, so we saw her off at 5:30 this morning. Here are a few pictures--I don't have any of the tree or the gifts, just these precious/weird children who were so happy to spend time together.
Showing her humble side--Without ME it's just AWESO
Movie Night - Lee brought home Horton Hears a Who
They pooped out before the end
Taylor showed Lee how to put ringtones on her phone. He likes not being the "little kid brother" anymore. (annoying little kid brother)
